Birds of Sundarban Biosphere Reserve
Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest of the world spreading across the delta of India and Bangladesh. It covers for more than 60% of India's total mangrove forests. Indian part of Sundarban Biosephere reserve is 9600 sq. km area, 4,200 sq. km comes under reserve forest and 5,400 sq. km area comprises lands outside the forests, within the Intertidal zone covering 108 islands with 54 island of dense forest area.<br />
This is the first comprehensive photographic field guide book with detail distribution and locality data for all the species from Sundarban Biosphere Reserve. Doubtful, inconclusive and vagrant records, are incorporated for further discussion and marked with different colour marks and notes. The book contain all coloured photographs of all the forms like, male female and breeding non breeding where ever possible and available. Thus a total of 428 species of birds is reported from Sundarban Biosephere reserve, India in this book.
